ntfs-3g software package provides read/write NTFS driver for FUSE, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ntfs-3g
ntfs-3g is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ntfs-3g package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ntfs-3g *
You will get with ntfs-3g package name, version, architecture and description in a table
